Do you want the joys of teaching without the daily prep and grading? Well, look no further! Chapter One is actively seeking qualified applicants to become an Early Literacy Interventionist for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a part-time position. Proof of Bachelor's degree is required.
Chapter One believes that every child deserves their basic civil right to learn to read proficiently by the end of grade one. Our Early Learning Interventionist is foundational to this mission and we transform children’s futures with 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Chapter One selects highly motivated, energetic individuals who love working with young children. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree, reliable transportation, availability to work Monday through Friday, completion of the school district background check, and intermediate technology skills. No prior experience is required for the right candidates.
Alongside the impactful work of each school employee, our ELI’s blend seamlessly into the team. Chapter One provides the 1:1 support so crucial for individual growth with the ELI role. Because of this, many ELIs develop a deep and lasting rapport with the students and become another meaningful adult in the lives of the children served.
Scope Of Work:
● Monitor student progress throughout the year using Chapter One provided tools and assessments.
- Utilize the chapter one's structured model to deliver 1:1 differentiated instruction with students.
- Document each tutoring session in Chapter One's platform using tools provided.
- Assign new practice activities during each session.
- Challenge students to reach each new goal and celebrate student success.
- Communicate and collaborate on an ongoing basis with your manager, classroom instructors, literacy coaches, and administrators
- Update the student independent practice, Student platform
- Provide basic technology support for student hand-held devices used for practice.
- Use student performance data to analyze student progress and retention to inform instructional delivery and accelerate student learning.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
● Day shift
● Monday to Friday
● No nights
● No weekends
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year institution
- Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches and data organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of office equipment and computer skills such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, or similar programs
- Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills
- Professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Must have transportation and ability to work onsite Monday-Friday with flexible hours
- Intermediate computer and software skills
- Must pass Chapter One and District required background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Classroom or early childhood education experience
- Experience utilizing multiple sources to collect and compile information
- Demonstrated ability to produce professional business documents with accuracy
- Ability to manage time effectively in a hectic environment
