1:1 Sen Nursery Practitioner Level 3 (Term-Time Only)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team and support a young child with an EHCP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a 1:1 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the child and meeting outcomes set on the my plan and within the EHCP. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage room dynamics will be essential in fostering the development of each child in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 high quality care and education for a young child with an EHCP focusing around social communication.
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, focusing on the individual need of the child.
  • Observe and assess the child's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, sharing ideas and best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with outside professionals and keep up to date with all necessary paperwork.
  • Uphold nursery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualities

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Experience working along the Graduated pathway.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively, fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education, with the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Leadership qualities that enable you to guide less experienced staff members when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to professional development, staying updated on best practices within early years education.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £11.70-£12.24 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
