We Are Hiring Two Business Development Managers to Grow Fastems’ Software Business

Fastems is a global technology company focused on high-mix manufacturing automation and digitalization. Our software plays a critical role in helping manufacturers improve productivity, flexibility, and long-term competitiveness.
To accelerate our software growth, we are now hiring two Business Development Managers. These roles are part of the same team and strategy, but with distinct focus areas: one on direct software business and sales, and one on partner-led software business and ecosystem development.
1) Business Development Manager – Software Business
This role focuses on direct software business growth. You combine hands-on commercial responsibility with shaping how Fastems’ software is packaged, sold, and monetized.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive direct software sales from lead qualification to deal closure.
- Develop and evolve software business models, pricing principles, and licensing approaches.
- Build and manage a predictable software sales pipeline and revenue forecast.
- Engage directly with customers in meetings, workshops, negotiations, and contracts.
- Support and enable Fastems’ sales organization in selling software offerings.
- Identify opportunities for recurring revenue, expansions, and long-term customer value.
- Contribute to the continuous development and renewal of Fastems’ software portfolio.
2) Business Development Manager – Software Partner Business
This role focuses on building a partner-driven software business, where Fastems’ software is delivered and scaled through system integrators and ecosystem partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale software partner business models and monetization frameworks.
- Define partner roles, value sharing, commercial structures, and governance.
- Identify, onboard, and develop system integrators and software partners.
- Create and manage a structured partner lifecycle model.
- Drive repeatable and scalable software sales through partner channels.
- Design and execute partner enablement programs (training, certification, tools).
- Track partner pipeline, performance, and revenue contribution.
- Act as a key commercial interface between Fastems’ software teams, partners, and customers.
What Both Roles Have in Common
- A central role in scaling Fastems’ software business.
- Close collaboration with Automation and Services businesses, product management, R&D, sales and marketing.
- Clear ownership and accountability for business results.
- Direct impact on software business growth, revenue, ARR, and profitability.
- Work in a cross-functional and international environment.
What We’re Looking For
- M.Sc. or equivalent technical or business-oriented education.
- 5+ years of experience in software business development, software sales, or commercialization.
- Strong understanding of B2B software business models, licensing, and monetization.
- Experience in international and cross-functional environments.
- Commercial, structured, and outcome-oriented way of working.
