Job Title: 309A Electrician – Industrial / Construction

Job Overview
TechElectric is hiring a licensed 309A Electrician to install and service electrical systems in industrial and manufacturing environments. This role is primarily construction-based, installing electrical infrastructure for manufacturing equipment and facilities, with occasional service work including troubleshooting and repairs.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial/industrial installation experience, can work independently on job sites, and is comfortable interacting with customers and leading small crews when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems to power and control manufacturing equipment
• Install EMT, rigid conduit, cable tray, and raceway systems
• Pull and terminate power, control, and communication cables
• Install and wire panels, motors, and industrial equipment
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and cable schedules
• Perform testing including continuity, power verification, and I/O checks
• Assist with commissioning and startup of industrial equipment
• Ensure installations comply with the Canadian Electrical Code
• Coordinate work with other trades and project managers
• Maintain clear communication with customers and the project team

Service Support (Occasional)

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and industrial equipment
• Perform service repairs and preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency or after-hours service calls when required

Requirements

• Valid Ontario 309A Electrician License
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
• Experience bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit
• Experience pulling and terminating power, control, and data cables
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial environments
• Ability to work independently and lead a small crew when required
• Valid driver’s license

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
