360° Log Handler Driver

We have an immediate vacancy for an experienced 360° Log Handler Driver to join our sawmill operation in Fermoy. This role is ideal for someone with a background in heavy machinery or materials handling who takes pride in safe, efficient machine operation in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The Role

• Operate a 360° log handler to feed and manage log stock safely and efficiently
• Spend the majority of working time in the machine cab
• Work as part of a busy log yard and sawmill team to maintain continuous production flow
• Carry out daily machine checks and report any maintenance issues
• Follow site safety procedures and operational standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery (log handler, excavator, loading shovel, or similar)
• Experience in a sawmill, forestry, quarry, construction, or heavy industrial environment is highly desirable
• Strong awareness of safe operating practices
• Forklift or tractor driving experience is an advantage
• Willingness to complete site-specific certification and training as required

Hours of Work

• Week 1 (7am-3.30pm)Finishing at 2.30pm on a Friday.
• Week 2 (4pm to 12pm) Finishing at 10pm on a Friday.

Rate of pay: €15.65 per hour plus 15% shift premium (€17.99 per hour).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
