A Full-Time Research Assistant On Privacy In Multi-Agents Systems (W/M/D)

At the University of Göttingen -Public Law Foundation-, Institut für Informatik, there is a position as to be filled. Starting date is as soon as possible. The position is limited to a period of 3 years.

This position in the Computer Security and Privacy group led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Delphine Reinhardt offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to pursue a doctoral degree in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Your profile

• A very good M.Sc. degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, or a closely related discipline,
• Strong programming and software development skills, ideally with experience in multi-agent frameworks or distributed systems,
• Experience in designing and conducting simulations and experiments, including empirical evaluation of agent behaviors and system performance.
• Solid background in one or more of the following areas: privacy and security, multi-agent coordination, machine learning, distributed systems, human–AI collaboration, or interactive system design,
• Ability to conduct independent scientific research, along with strong commitment, team orientation, and communication skills,
• A very good command of both English and German,
• Strong interest in pursuing a doctoral degree and contributing to high-impact research.

Your main responsibilities

• Conduct independent research on privacy in multi-agent systems, focusing, for example, on identifying emerging privacy threats, designing novel privacy-preserving mechanisms for agent communication and collaboration, or developing human-centered approaches to ensure trustworthy multi-agent interactions,
• Publishing and presenting the obtained scientific results in international peer-reviewed conferences and/or journals,
• Supervising student assistants and student projects in this area,
• Active support in teaching activities according to §31 NHG and examinations.
