As an Account Executive at Postmedia, you will be working with a team of tenacious and driven salespeople, as well as fulfillment teams with a “can-do” attitude. As the largest publisher in Canada, with recognizable brands such as National Post, Vancouver Sun and Toronto Sun, Postmedia is a well-established company that is successfully adopting and fulfilling leading digital marketing solutions.
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, self-motivated salesperson with a proven track record of results to join our Agency sales team.The successful candidate will possess a keen knowledge of positioning a holistic marketing solution to clients and prospects based on their goals and KPIs. You will have a general understanding of innovative solutions like: Search and Social, digital display, and programmatic. You should also have a strong knowledge of traditional media like Print and Out-of-home. Experience and demonstrated ability to effectively network and position solutions with Agency contacts is desirable.
What you’ll do:
- Achieve monthly sales budgets and quotas
- Maintain close relationships with existing Agency contacts; identify opportunities by scheduling regular reviews with your clients to identify new opportunities
- Build a sales pipeline by cultivating new Agency business opportunities through networking, lead generation, etc.
- Work collaboratively with internal Strategists to perform thorough business reviews to fully understand customers’ needs and marketing goals
- Leverage HubSpot to manage assigned accounts, create efficiencies in daily tasks and communication
- Driven with a winning mindset and a tenacious approach to customer success
- Experience in Agency multimedia sales
- Comfortable with networking and speaking with decision makers both on the video conference and in person
- Strong understanding of traditional and digital media
- Self-motivated and strives for self-improvement through ongoing self-driven learning
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in HubSpot and Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
