Description
Join our Major Clients & Complex Risks team and support some of Australia’s largest infrastructure, mining, and development projects. You’ll work closely with senior brokers, major insurers, and national and international clients while gaining hands on experience managing complex risk portfolios.
In this role, you’ll help maintain strong client relationships, prepare key documentation, support claims processes, manage client data, and negotiate with underwriters to secure the best outcomes.

The Role
- Assist senior brokers when required and effectively manage and grow a portfolio of clients ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are identified and met.
- Accurately prepare client documentation such as renewal questionnaires and reports, quote slips, placing slips, client manuals and invoice documents, including premium funding quotes
- Provide support to senior brokers in managing larger clients’ insurance, risk management and programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, clients, and other key stakeholders (internal and external), professionally representing WTW
- Maintain comprehensive client data on WTW systems, facilities, and databases
- Respond to client claims enquiries, provide advice on the claims process, and maintain the claims database
- Liaise with insurance assessors as required
- Manage workflow and diary systems, ensuring agreed claims standards are achieved with timely settlement of claims
- Contribute to individual and team annual new business targets ensuring they are met
- Ensure pipeline accuracy and quality are maintained regularly
- Debtor collections are managed in accordance with the terms of trade
- Achieve and maintain compliance with relevant NZ regulations Undertake professional development when required
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Previous experience in general insurance or construction, and/or familiarity with eGlobal.
- A highly intelligent and results-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to accelerating their career.
- A proactive approach to self-improvement and a strong will to succeed.
- The ability to prioritize effectively, manage tight deadlines, and consistently produce accurate, high-quality work under pressure.
- An innovative thinker who can collaborate effectively within a team structure, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
- Proven ability to form and maintain great relationships with clients and the insurance market.
- Sound oral and written communication skills for both individual and small group interactions, with excellent report writing and correspondence skills.
- Proficient in all MS Office products and a quick learner with the drive to immediately leverage your tech aptitude for taking on additional duties.
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, demonstrating self-sufficiency and initiative.
- Willingness to complete the Financial Services Reform Act requirements (minimum Tier 1 Broking Compliance).
