Service Foods is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to be part of the Auckland Regional sales team.

The role:

As an Account Manager, you will have the perfect balance of business development and account management. Supported by a wider team, you will have the autonomy to develop your own pipeline and foster lasting customer relationships.

The job:

Much of your mahi will be around prospecting and engaging with a diverse range of clients across the South and East of Tamaki Makaurau, building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

You will:

  • Spend time with inherited portfolio of warm accounts to manage and grow
  • Keep an active call cycle to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close sales, exceeding targets.
  • Ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target.
  • Prospect new clients and convert them into loyal customers through visits and calls.
  • Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Work closely with our Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customer and supplier needs

The person:

As a key player in capturing sales opportunities, your passion for building rapport and fostering long-lasting customer relationships will be essential to your success. Lead generation and business development will be integral parts of the role, so a strong network of contacts within the industry will be highly advantageous. A tertiary qualification is desirable.

You will:

  • Be a confident and effective communicator
  • Have relevant trade/hospitality experience
  • Possess proven sales experience
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Have knowledge of Salesforce (advantageous)
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, with a solutions-focused approach to partner with clients and drive growth
  • Possess knowledge of the food service industry (a plus)
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Be target-driven with a commitment to teamwork
