Your purpose & impact:

As an Accountant at Estrid, you will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivables and bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate accounting and compliance with regulatory and management reporting for our Swedish entity. You will be collaborating with colleagues both within the Finance team as well as cross-functionally, both locally and cross-border.

Some of the things you’ll do:

For Junior Role:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including bank reconciliations

• Prepare and process accounts payable

• Manage and ensure accurate B2B invoicing

• Communicate with customers to request payments and documentation

• Verify the correct setup of new customer records

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Role:

• Conduct month-end reconciliation of relevant balance accounts

• Prepare VAT reporting within the EU, finalized by an external partner

• Prepare payroll for both the Swedish and UK entities, finalized by external partners

• Take ownership of processes within the accounting department, continuously seeking improvements and efficiencies

• Handle external reporting to authorities (SKV, BV, SCB)

Skills and experiences important for this role:

For All Candidates:

• Diploma in Accounting from a higher vocational education

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (Swedish GAAP - K3)

• Analytical mindset with a strong interest in systems and finance

• Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

• Natural problem solver, skilled at removing obstacles and simplifying processes

• Basic proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

• Fluent in both Swedish and English

Additional for Senior Candidates:

• +5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role and environment

• Experience with annual reporting and year-end audits

• Familiarity with European VAT reporting (OSS, Norwegian VOEC, EC Sales List)

• Knowledge of accounting for manufacturing companies (e.g., inventory, freight - exports/imports)

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly advantageous

• Basic experience in payroll administration
