Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Accounts & Inventory Coordinator to manage daily accounting, import documentation, inventory tracking, and costing through QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the packaging or food-service supply industry and a strong understanding of landed costing and import workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and reconcile import purchases, supplier invoices, and freight/duty charges.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (in-stock, in-transit, and pending shipments).
  • Track import shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Prepare landed cost sheets for each product (including duty, freight, and exchange rate impact).
  • Generate and manage sales invoices and track customer payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, payables, and receivables monthly in QuickBooks.
  • Assist management in pricing, margin analysis, and product costing updates.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and import documents.
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries and inventory valuation reports

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or inventory coordination, preferably in packaging, plastics, or food-service supply.
  • Strong command of QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of import logistics, customs clearance, and landed costing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, brokers, and internal teams.

Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Experience handling overseas shipments (India/China) and freight cost allocations.
  • Knowledge of Canadian GST/HST and bookkeeping standards.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations or 3PL systems.
