Richmond Blackwood helps clients based in Ireland, UK, and Germany to level up from sole proprietaries to limited companies. Currently, we are seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to join us. This junior position offers ample learning and development opportunities for someone passionate about accounting and eager to grow in their career.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using double entry bookkeeping and accounting software;
- Generate and distribute invoices to clients, track outstanding invoices, and follow up on overdue payments;
- Record and file all invoices in the accounting system for accuracy and auditing purposes;
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions;
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions;
- Prepare financial reports, including management accounts, profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements;
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
- Provide full end-to-end support to clients, assisting with any queries related to tax, accounting, billing, and company formation;
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Candidates with a good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices will also be considered.
- Up to a year of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in XERO accounting software is a plus;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ideally with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of Irish accounting regulations and tax laws is a plus.
