Job Summary
The Accounts Payable and Treasury Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the accounts payable department and banking relationship, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, streamlining processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.

Duties

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department.
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
  • Oversee double entry bookkeeping practices to maintain precise financial records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies related to vendor invoices.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for accounts payable accounts.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage or PeopleSoft for efficient transaction management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Provide training and support to team members on financial concepts, accounting software, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable management or similar roles within public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with debits, credits, and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
