Accounts Payable Specialist

JP Thayer Company is seeking a full time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate team. If you have passion for what you do, a strong drive to achieve results, the ability to solve problems, a dedication to customer service and relationship management, come join us.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures timely payment of invoices for multiple companies
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of payment information submitted by multiple subsidiaries
  • Research past due amounts on invoices
  • Reconcile monthly statements and resolve any bill discrepancies
  • Assist vendors seeking payment or additional information
  • Maintain vendor records and compliance
  • Generate reports as required by management related to accounts payable
  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements
  • Assist managers and others with day-to-day payables processing and questions
  • Good basic knowledge of account receivable with ability to post inter-company transactions

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3 or more years accounts payable experience
  • Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, detail oriented with very good organizational skills

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift (8am to 5pm)
  • Monday to Friday
