Make a difference in an older person's life with fun and meaningful activities. We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work across both our aged care facilities in Alexandra for residential, hospital and dementia-level care.
The Role
Assist with activities that enhance personal dignity, quality of life, independence and connectedness for each resident. You will be providing quality and meaningful activities to meet client’s needs and maximise their independence while respecting their unique identity and dignity.
Hours: This is a permanent part-time position. The hours of work will be 24 hours per week excluding weekends.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills including relationship building and advocacy skills
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative
- Have a full driver’s license
- Be empathetic and patient with elderly people.
- A Diversional Therapy qualification or working towards one will be an added advantage

Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) is a Charitable Trust established in 1906. Our Mission is to walk with people across the generations to create together places to live, learn, and thrive. Our services for older people are provided by Enliven. We create elder-centered communities where older people have companionship, meaningful activity, purpose, and fun in their lives. We strive for a family like environment for both residents and their loved ones.
Situated in the beautiful Alexandra, Ranui is home to 48 residents who are supported at hospital, rest home, and dementia level care.
