Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Director to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents through engaging and stimulating activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing meaningful experiences and promoting social interaction within a senior care setting.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a diverse range of activities to cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
- Coordinate and lead recreational programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity
- Manage activity calendars, ensuring a variety of events and programs are offered regularly
- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that support residents' individualized care plans
- Organize special events, outings, and holiday celebrations for residents
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program effectiveness

Qualifications:

- Experience in planning and executing activities in a senior care or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and recreational therapy techniques
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and creating programs for individuals with memory impairments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
- Background in event planning, social work, or related field is advantageous
- Compassionate attitude towards providing care and support to seniors in a home or community setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.60 - $22.40 per hour
