Addiction & Mental Health Recovery Worker
Your Opportunity:
This is part of a welcoming interdisciplinary team, working with clients in a group home with the dual diagnosis of intellectual disabilities, and mental health, many with complex care needs. You bring with you your compassion, patient centered care focus, positive attitude and energy to meet the clients where they are at and to provide support for their independence and upskilling. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:
As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
Safe food handling. Previous experience with intellectual disabilities and or MH.
