About Us:

Loughrea Golf Club is a progressive, long-established club in the community with over 900 members and with strong ambition to further develop our course, our facilities and our people to best in class in our category.

The Role:

Our office administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our club. They provide essential administrative support, manage day-to-day administrative tasks, and maintain a productive work environment. They provide a critical role in ensuring our members and visitors can engage with a friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable person across the working week and beyond.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be an organised, self-motivated problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Working with integrity, empathy, confidence with a strong emphasis on communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties
  • Financial management, reporting and analysis, banking
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-Management
  • Processing purchase invoices and supplier reconciliations
  • Payroll processing
  • Reconciling member accounts and supporting timely cash collection
  • Assisting with new supplier and subcontractor account setups, payments, and queries
  • Providing general support to Parent Club officers

The ideal Candidate will possess the following:

  • 2 years experience in a finance, bookkeeping or administrative role,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (Sage)
  • Experience with purchase orders and invoice processing
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Skilled Communicator
  • Results Orientated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills
