- Location: Riverwood (Minimum of 3 days a week from the office)
- Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 with salary ranging from $99,938 to $110,271 + super and annual leave loading
About the role
As an Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Director, Educational Leadership, and the broader Public Schools division by delivering professional, efficient, and responsive administrative services. This role ensures schools are supported through streamlined systems, collaborative teamwork, and innovative practices that align with departmental priorities.

About you
Your professional communication style helps you act as a reliable point of contact between parents and the department where you calmly deescalate sensitive phone calls and handle concerns with care and efficiency. You’re skilled at building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and understand the importance of working collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following attributes:
- Strong administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail and time management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a capacity to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies
Key Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment
- Willingness to travel to Connected Communities’ schools
