- $83,283 - $91,103 (G05) per annum, plus 17% superannuation
- Based at the Curtin Bentley Campus
About the Role:
Reporting to the School Business Manager and working closely with the wider admin team, you will undertake general administrative activities which ensure the daily online and in-house operations of the school run smoothly. As the friendly face of the school, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors including industry colleagues, all general enquiries, and deliveries.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all of the School's Communications and Events. This will include, but not is limited to, the School's website, quarterly newsletter, orientation events and open day.
Your expert organisational skills will also enable you to provide efficient diary management and executive assistance to the Head of School and other senior academic staff as required.

Your responsibilities will include:
General administration & operations
- Be customer facing, welcome visitors and supporting HDR students, academic staff and other school staff and stakeholders with their queries; accepting mail and responding to other front desk enquiries as required.
- Share in school mailbox and other shared inbox management; order stationery, kitchen supplies and teaching consumables.
- Coordinate IT-equipment leasing and keep an accurate asset register.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities of the role.
- Refresh content for the school website
- Curate social-media posts in partnership with the Faculty Social Media Officer to maintain a vibrant, consistent online presence.
- Assist with travel bookings, reimbursements and procurement for teaching and honours-level research laboratories.
- Coordinate and deliver school events including awards nights, graduation activities, and end-of-year celebrations
- Provide administrative support for advisory committees and meetings, including logistics and minute-taking
- Collaborate with academic staff to organise Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives and student engagement events
- Manage School Advisory Board meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and venue coordination
- Act as the primary contact for international engagement activities within EECMS, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Director of Global Engagement and oversee budgets for global initiatives in consultation with the School Business Manager
- Handle inquiries professionally and direct them to relevant university teams
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with university policies
Our ideal candidate prides themselves on being conscientious and reliable, and will have demonstrable skills, knowledge and experience across the following Essential Criteria:
- A diploma in a related field and considerable relevant work experience, OR an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
- Proven ability to run the full administrative life cycle of a busy work area, including events.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and confidence with online content-management systems.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and often competing tasks with attention to accuracy and detail within deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
- Sound judgement and demonstrable problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a university environment.
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
- Ability to travel offsite work outside of normal office hours may be required from time to time to support school events.
