This position is responsible for directing the complex work area of the Department’s Accounts Payable Unit and performing technician assignments related to the department’s expenditures. This position is responsible for directing Accounts Payable staff. This position is also responsible for the review, approval and disbursement of funds for DLEO programs determined to be reimbursable through interpretation of LEO and DTMB grant and program requirements, regulations, laws, and procedures. In addition, this position is also responsible for the audit and processing of DLEO employee expense reimbursement requests in compliance with LEO and DTMB rates, allowances, policies and procedures.Position Description (Download PDF reader)
There is a possibility of a remote/hybrid schedule based on performance and operational need. However, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.
Required Education and Experience
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Two years of experience equivalent to an Accounting Technician 10, Procurement Technician 10, Administrative Technician Supervisor 10, or Storekeeper Supervisor 9; two years equivalent to an Office Supervisor 11 in a position which was assigned the bookkeeping (BKPS) subclass code; one year equivalent to an Administrative Technician Supervisor 11, Accountant P11, or Auditor P11; or, one year equivalent to an Office Supervisor 12 in a position which was assigned the bookkeeping (BKPS) subclass code.
