About the Role
Care & Repair Monmouthshire and Torfaen has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Administrator to join our friendly and successful team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience as an Administrator, Administrative Assistant, Office Administrator, Business Support Administrator or Customer Service Administrator who is looking for a rewarding part-time role.
Working 28 hours per week, you will provide high-quality administrative and business support across the Agency. The role offers a mix of office-based and home working, with the working arrangement agreed in consultation with the successful candidate. Your working pattern will be Tuesday – Friday with some flexibility if required.
You will play an important part in supporting our adaptations service and will regularly communicate with clients, family members, contractors, health and social care professionals, and partner organisations.
Key Responsibilities
As our Adaptations Administrator, your duties will include:
- Providing day-to-day administrative and office support
- Data entry and maintaining accurate electronic records
- Using organisational databases and information systems
- Scanning, filing and general document management
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Providing excellent customer service to clients and partner organisations
- Taking accurate meeting minutes
- Processing and administering invoices for payment
- Liaising with clients, family members, contractors, health and social care professionals, and other partner organisations
- Using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Issuing work orders to contractors and in-house adaptations operatives
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required
About You
We are looking for a reliable, organised and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can manage a varied workload.
You will have:
- Previous administration or office-based experience, or relevant qualifications
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Confidence using computers, databases and digital systems
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- A flexible and positive approach to meeting changing business needs
- The ability to work effectively as part of a small, supportive team
Experience of data entry, invoice processing, database administration, minute taking, customer enquiries or contractor administration would be particularly relevant to this position.
