Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Our School of Graduate Studies is currently looking for an experienced Administrator to join the team on a part time basis, where you will provide a high level of professional administrative support to the Director, management team and wider school.
The role is primarily responsible for the financial, travel and general administrative support as well as supporting the delivery of flagship events for the school.
Accountabilities
- Producing accurate, high quality presentations and reports of both a general and confidential nature
- Coordinate various scholarship assessment and selection processes for annual SGS programmes
- Providing scheduling and bookings for workshops, seminars and meetings
- Responsible for purchasing, receipting and reconciliations
- Attend designated committee meetings to capture accurate record of events, noting actions and distributing as required
This is a 0.5 FTE role, on a permanent basis. The salary range is $50,700 - $63,900 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

The School of Graduate Studies is the central service division responsible for managing, administrating and enhancing doctoral research programmes at the University of Auckland. SGS facilitates support and services for doctoral candidates and their supervisors across the institution. The division works across the lifecycle of the doctoral programmes, from enrolment to completion.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in an Office Manager or similar role with advanced Microsoft Office applications experience. You will have excellent organisational skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring high levels of customer service.

- An ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to solve complex problems requiring judgment and accurate interpretation of established information
- Excellent written and verbal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team
