Administrator, Inventory Control

- Ensure the overall accuracy of our inventory, as reflected in the inventory management system (AMOS), to ensure parts are available when needed and to improve financial consistency.
- Conduct regular cycle counts of all inventory items for all bases.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in the quantities and locations of all inventory reported.
- Manage Min/Max across all Porter stations
- Help establish and improve inventory min/max procedures and analyze inventory usage daily to identify trends to better manage our min/max levels.
- Manage Shelf Expiry Control reports for all out bases to ensure any expiring items are removed from inventory to prevent their use on an aircraft.
- Liaise with the Purchasing, Warranty, and Repairs teams, as well as the Logistics Coordinator, to ensure parts and materials are always on-hand when and where they are needed.
- Coordinate with Reliability and Planning to ensure current stock levels can meet future demand requirements.
- Identify and reduce excess stock levels by spreading inventory out across all bases.
- Identify obsolete inventory and develop surplus lists for possible re-sale.
- Provide monthly cost reports for scrapped and expired inventory.
- Actively participating in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Minimum 2 years experience of experience is required managing inventory (Aviation experience is preferred)
- Well organized, detail oriented and able to work autonomously
- Must be willing & able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
- Proven self-starter with good time management skills
- Must have a valid Class G2 or G driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass and DA AVOP within 6 months of starting
- Knowledge of inventory tracking or aircraft maintenance software a strong asset (preferably AMOS)
