The Company

Parking People is a Cork based company that sets up and manages car parks on behalf of various private clients. We market car parks and car parking to the general public (monthly contract parking) and private institutions, ensuring a steady/increasing revenue stream for its clients. Having started with a single client in 2012 the company now has 30 sites, both private and public.

Sites include,

· Dennehys Cross Church (100 spaces)

· North Cathedral (50 spaces)

· Cobh Cathedral (100 spaces)

· Cork, Marina (117 spaces)

· Centre Park Road (50 spaces)

· Etc.

Corporate clients include The Bons Secours Hospital, The HSE etc.

The Job Role

We now have an opportunity in Administration in the areas of General Office and Customer Management. This is a key appointment within the company. The successful candidate will work in direct partnership with the MD to help grow and expand the business. The successful candidate would be trained in managing a CRM system (customer relationship management system) and on ongoing marketing campaigns to promote our services to the public. They will manage the customer database of a small but quickly growing parking operation and manage ongoing marketing initiatives to promote the car parks to potential end users.

This is a part time permanent position within the company. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who wants to join an organisation for the long term, availing of all of the opportunities that a small but quickly growing company can offer.

After a training period at the company head office, the individual will operate remotely from home.

The Candidate

This position will only suit a candidate who holds lifelong learning as one of their core values and is truly committed to continuous improvement. Personality profile and mental ability will be more important than experience as full on the job training will be supplied. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who prefers the option of part time working from home and flexible hours.

Employment role, areas of responsibility

Including but not limited to

· Customer relationship management (full training supplied)

· On line advertising portals (full training supplied)

· General office administration

· Basic marketing

· Strategic Planning

· Assisting the MD with various day to day projects

The Hours

Approximately 15-25 hours per week. Hours and days are flexible to accommodate the company and staff needs.

The Location

Home Working (after initial training), with very occasional on street / car park site visits.

Remuneration, salaried position, based on €15.00 per hour

€15.00 per hour. You will be eligible for a 5% pay increase each year for 5 years (based on your Gross salary) upon the achievement of certain defined objectives, and reflecting your increased value to the organisation from both internal and external training.

Start Date

Mid February 2026

Previous experience in an administrative role would be essential.

· Spread sheeting skills, knowledge of formula (Microsoft Excel)

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word

· Full Clean Driving License and Own Transport

· Home location having mobile reception and high-quality broadband

· Home location having a dedicated space for a home office

· Articulate with an excellent command of spoken English

· Excellent people skills and phone manor
