About Suchan Renovations

Suchan Renovations is a family-owned general contracting company specializing in high-end residential renovations throughout Montreal and the West Island. Our company is built on care, craftsmanship, integrity and professional service.

We are looking for a dependable and organized Administrative Assistant to support the general day-to-day operations of the business. This is a varied position that combines office administration, entry-level bookkeeping, payroll support, document management and assistance to company management.

Main Responsibilities Bookkeeping and Accounting Support

  • Enter and organize supplier invoices and bills.
  • Match invoices with receipts and project information.
  • Organize expenses by project and supplier.
  • Maintain accurate digital records of invoices, bills and payments.
  • Assist with basic accounts payable and accounts receivable tracking.
  • Prepare organized documentation for the company’s bookkeeper or accountant.
  • Follow up on missing invoices, receipts or supporting documents.

Payroll and Employee Administration

  • Collect and verify employee hours and timesheets.
  • Enter payroll information using the company’s payroll system.
  • Maintain basic employee payroll records.
  • Track vacation, banked hours and other employee information.
  • Organize employee documents and assist with general payroll administration.
  • Communicate payroll information to management for approval.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or office experience is preferred.
  • Basic bookkeeping or payroll experience is an asset, but advanced accounting experience is not required.
  • Experience in construction, renovation, property management or a related industry is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing several tasks and priorities at the same time.
  • Able to work independently and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and cloud-based filing systems.
  • Experience with bookkeeping, payroll or construction-management software is an asset.
  • Professional French is required.
  • Functional English is required for regular communication with English-speaking clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are assets.

The ideal candidate is reliable, resourceful and highly organized. You enjoy keeping documents, schedules and financial records in order. You are comfortable following up with people and making sure important tasks do not get forgotten.
