ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive Admissions Team in the role of?Admissions Coordinator. The Admissions Coordinator position aims to make it as easy as possible for individuals to access residential treatment for AOD concerns.

The role will oversee the admissions process into the Wangaratta Therapeutic Community and enhance our service provision capacity by offering high-quality, evidence-based admission care to clients seeking residential treatment, and their significant others. This role is integral in providing leadership, driving change and implementing initiatives which will lead to improved efficiency, accuracy, resource utilisation and service delivery which support the Wangaratta Therapeutic Community’s needs and the clients’ individual journeys.

The Admissions Coordinator will work closely with other staff in the AOD team to provide a flexible, responsive service to achieve the best possible recovery outcomes for clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your current Admission expertise and advance your career in the community health industry. We will provide training and support for the right candidate to develop and expand their skills set in admissions, leadership, and business process improvement.

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in addictive behaviours/AOD, health, welfare, behavioural or social sciences, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the AOD sector. Compliance with the AOD Workforce Minimum Qualification Strategy or willingness to undertake minimum required study within the first 12 months.
  • Demonstrated understanding of admission and administrative procedures, and patient management systems in an acute private, public or community health setting.
  • Proven ability to monitor, apply corrective actions and maintain the highest standards of professional behaviour, service quality and customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail with high quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced time management and organisational skills.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
