- Are you passionate about improving oral health outcomes for adolescents in the Auckland region? The Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our team as an Adolescent Oral Health Coordinator.

About the Role
As the ARDS Adolescent Oral Health Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of improving oral health outcomes for adolescents. You will be collaborating with community groups to raise awareness of the Adolescent Oral Health Service and navigating adolescents to link with dental providers.
You will provide oral health promotion initiatives tailored to meet the needs of adolescents and link with other stakeholders to influence the delivery of oral health promotion programmes and initiatives.
You will coordinate the transfer for students at the end of Year 8 to move from ARDS on to the Adolescent Oral Health Service.
About the Team/Service/ Location
ARDS provides oral health services to approximately 290,00 preschool and school aged children up to and including Year 8 children who live across the metropolitan Auckland. This role ensures Year 8 children move into the adolescent service. The role will involve some travel across metropolitan Auckland, but the base can be negotiated with the preference being Counties-Manukau.
About you
The requirements we are looking for are:
- A New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) certificate in Health Promotion / Public Health (Level4) or equivalent.
- Current New Zealand Driver’s License.
- Three or more year’s experience in health promotion or a relevant discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
- Organised and able to ensure actions are achieved in a timely manner.
- The ability to engage effectively with diverse communities, particularly with Māori and Pacific community groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
