Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital leadership role within the healthcare facility, supporting nursing administration and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position involves overseeing daily nursing operations, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. The ADON-RN collaborates closely with the nursing team to promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for patients and staff alike.

Duties

  • Provide nursing leadership by assisting in the coordination and management of daily clinical operations.
  • Support nursing administration in implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to care plans, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee patient care activities to ensure they meet established standards of quality and safety.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating nursing personnel to foster professional development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and address any issues related to care delivery promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in nursing with a strong background in patient care.
  • Prior experience in nursing administration or leadership roles is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and coordinate with staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality assurance practices is essential.
