Position: Aerial Bucket Truck Operator - Signal Installer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: Starting at $35 per hour; based on experience

Electrician Responsibilities:

• Operate bucket trucks and other aerial equipment to install, maintain, and repair electrical power systems and equipment per MDOT specs. This includes performing electrical work on overhead, underground and traffic controllers.
• Assist with lane closures and traffic control for set up and take down of projects
• Operate power equipment when installing and repairing poles, towers, and lines.
• Collaborate with a field team of 3-7 electricians
• Adhere to safety requirements
• Willing to work in diverse weather conditions

Electrician Qualifications:

• 1 yr bucket truck operations
• Able to work above head with shoulders and arms
• Knowledge of basic wiring and electrical for traffic signal installation a plus
• Able to work outside as needed year round
• Willing to learn and become part of an experience traffic signal aerial team
• Lineman, electrical workers encouraged to apply
• Work week is typically Monday - Friday
• Year-round work
• Good communication skills
