Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to support children in a fun and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in early childhood education or related fields. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives by providing attentive care, guidance, and support during their developmental years. Prior experience with children, tutoring, or teaching is highly valued to help foster a positive care atmosphere.

This is a part time role, working 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm 3-5 days per week, with potential for working full time hours during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision to children in a safe and engaging environment
• Keeps program facilities and equipment safe and clean, reporting any repairs and concerns to after school care supervisor
• Foster social development through interactive play and group activities
• Monitor children's health and well-being, reporting any concerns to supervisors
• Encourage positive behavior and emotional growth through supportive communication
• Collaborate with parents and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met

Requirements

• Experience working with children, preferably in early childhood education or similar settings
• Education-Grade 12, as well as responsible adult course training or equivalent
• Experience-Minimum two years of demonstrated proficiency in child care setting
• Passion for nurturing children's development and well-being
• Ability to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for children
• Excellent communication skills and patience when working with young children
• Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care
