Join Our Team: Deputy Manager – After-School Service

Are you a dedicated childcare professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a motivated and experienced after-school Deputy Manager. This is duel role working in classroom and managing after-school service.

The Role at a Glance

• Location: Stoneybatter, Dublin 7
• Hours: 25 hours after-school service and 10 hours in Early Years service.
• Contract: Permanent
• Salary: 18 euros per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Leadership: Lead the small team, develop and work with other practitioners.
• Planning and organising mid-term and summer camps.
• Compliance: Ensure the service adheres to the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) (Registration of School Age Services) Regulations 2018, Tusla and Pobal regulations.
• Administration: Attendance records, Hive/NCS (National Childcare Scheme) administration, and Core funding.
• Finance: (payroll, sales report, monthly invoices)
• Developing a partnership with the parents.
• Safety & Safeguarding: Act as the Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP) for child protection concerns.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Minimum QQI Level 5 or 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent/higher). Level 7 in Early Childhood Care and Education preferable.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in an Irish childcare setting, preferably with school-aged children.
• Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) and Tusla School Age Regulations.
• Vetting: Must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting and provide two validated references.
• Certifications: Valid First Aid Response (FAR), Children First Safeguarding, DLP (Designated Liaison Person), Mandated Person, Manual Handling, Fire Safety training.
