Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting shipping, receiving, and supply chain processes.
Duties
- Schedule and dispatch freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Digital Waybill.
- Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to optimize routing and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, freight details, and delivery statuses.
- Monitor shipment progress and troubleshoot issues related to delays or discrepancies.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to communicate with clients, drivers, and internal teams.
- Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain operations.
- Perform analysis of freight costs, transit times, and carrier performance for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent data entry skills with high typing accuracy; familiarity with multi-line phone systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipping data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Knowledge of the 3PL industry and freight regulations is a plus.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of analysis tools related to transportation metrics is desirable. This role is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations within our organization, supporting our commitment to timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
