Rathganny Preschool is currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Afterschool Childcare Practitioner to join our dedicated team during term time.

This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys facilitating play-based learning and creating a fun, relaxed environment for children after their school day.

About the Role

Working with children aged 5–10 years, you will:

• Plan and deliver fun, stimulating activities including arts & crafts, outdoor play, games, and more.
• Support children with their homework and encourage positive peer relationships.
• Maintain a safe, warm, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, and colleagues.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm – 6:00pm
• Term-time only (aligned with the primary school calendar)

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with children in a school-age or childcare setting
• Positive, energetic, and nurturing attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driver’s license and own transport (due to location)

Desirable (Not Essential)

• First Aid and Children First training
• Experience working with school-age children specifically
