Ai Change & Adoption Lead job opportunity

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Change and Adoption Lead is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing strategies that drive the successful implementation and acceptance of the AI platform within DEECA. The position is responsible for facilitating the integration of AI technology with its use by staff in the department.

The position will lead the DEECA AI Community of Practice and actively engage across Government to ensure that change adoption approaches aligned are aligned with WoVG frameworks, policy and guidance. This position will champion new proof of concepts, pilots, trials and new implementations to ensuring the AI platform keeps pace with industry developments and maximises the value of AI technologies for DEECA. The position is a key contributor in shaping the DEECA AI roadmap and related strategies.

This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology, a deep understanding of change management, and the interpersonal skills necessary to inspire confidence and engagement at every level.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, organisational development, or digital transformation roles, with exposure to AI technologies.
Demonstrable success in managing large-scale change, using methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Process, or similar frameworks.
Experience engaging with senior leaders, technical teams, and frontline employees to drive change and resolve conflicts.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of delivering compelling presentations and training sessions to diverse audiences.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available.
