Air Import Coordinator

Job Summary
ClearFreight is a licensed freight forwarder and customs brokerage firm with 13 offices in the United States and 13 offices overseas. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Air Import Operations Coordinator to join our team in our beautiful El Segundo HQ office. In your position, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all documentation related to the transportation of air import cargo. This role ensures that all necessary documents are accurately prepared, submitted, and filed in compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies. The coordinator will work closely with various departments, customers, and external partners to facilitate smooth and efficient shipping operations and cargo delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipment and Documentation Processing

• Coordinate and monitor air import shipments from origin to destination.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all shipments, including airway bills, invoices, and packing lists.
• Maintain, update, and correct shipment data as needed within the CargoWise system.
• Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to track and expedite shipments.
• Process and arrange cargo delivery. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Customs Compliance

• Ensure all air import shipments comply with local and international customs regulations.

Customer Service

• Provide regular and timely updates to customers on the status of their shipments.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays in the import process.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions to logistical challenges.

Qualifications:

• Freight forwarding experience in Air Imports -Minimum 1-2 years
• CargoWise system experience a plus
• College degree preferred
• Team player, willing to learn and grow together

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:

• International Freight Forwarding: 1 year (Required)
• Air Import operations: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:
