Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Airport Maintenance Handyman to support the daily upkeep, repair, and safety of airport facilities, and assist our Airport Operations Manager. This role is critical to ensuring a clean, functional, and safe environment for staff, visitors, and tenants. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and capable of handling a wide range of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on airport buildings, equipment, and infrastructure
• Address plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related issues as needed
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns proactively
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
• Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal and landscaping
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report completed tasks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification is an asset)
• Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and carpentry
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good physical condition; ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments
• Valid driver’s licence (required)
• Be able to work in Canada

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Background in multiple trades: carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing
• Must have the ability to work independently and to undertake a variety of tasks and perform them with a minimum of supervision
