About the Role
We are seeking a Therapies Assistant to be based in the Home Loan Equipment Store who shares our values of He kauanuanu – Respect, Ākina – Improvement, Rāranga te tira – Teamwork and Tauwhiro – Care.
In this busy role you will be responsible for,
- Customer Service on site
- Working with a range of healthcare professionals
- Cleaning and Maintenance of Equipment
- Deliveries and installation of items into patient’s homes.
- Administration/ Data Management.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We are a small dynamic team who manage short term loan equipment resources to enable people to discharge the acute hospital setting or to remain safely in their own homes. Our service is fast paced and no two days are the same; whether you are in the cleaning room, helping clinicians with equipment prescription or problem solving a ramp installation at a patient’s home. You need to be able think on your feet and be flexible enough to change tack in this variable environment.

About you
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role however more importantly you must demonstrate skills/ experience in the following:
- Be physically fit (manual handling of equipment required - ramps/beds etc.)
- Knowledge of basic health practice
- Confident with technology
- Sound communication and judgement skills
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment
