The Amazon Postdoctoral Science Program provides recent PhD graduates with a formal avenue to gain industry experience, apply their subject matter expertise, and gain mentorship from established Amazon scientists. Postdoctoral scientists will explore new research ideas, accelerate scientific innovation and impact, and publish their work in peer-reviewed scientific literature.

The program is designed for individuals who received their PhD in the past two years and want to gain industry experience. The program advances postdoctoral scientists’ career development through industry exposure, publishing research, and mentorship from the Amazon Science community.

In SnT Optimization research team, part of Amazon Transportation Services, we are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist with Operations Research, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics background, to join our team in the EU Headquarters in Luxembourg, for one-plus-one year. As a key member of our science team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing beyond state of the art algorithmic frameworks that optimize the middle-mile Amazon Transportation Network. Our work ensures that our end-to-end strategies in terms of customer demand fulfillment are reliable, robust and efficient.

• Expert knowledge in modeling and performance, operationalization, and scalability of scientific techniques and establishing decision strategies
