Who Are We?
At HTG-UK (Health Transportation Group UK), we are more than just a transport provider — we are a vital service for huge numbers of vulnerable patients across the UK. As one of the UK’s largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) providers, we proudly serve the NHS, completing over 550,000 essential patient journeys every year. With 12 operational bases and a dedicated team of over 800 passionate professionals, we lead the charge in delivering safe, caring, and high-quality patient transport services across the UK.
How can you contribute?
As an Ambulance Care Assistant based at our Norwich hub, you'll be helping vulnerable and medically eligible patients get to life-saving appointments, or return home safely after hospital stays.
You’ll work solo or as part of a two-person team, providing transport to patients from all walks of life, of all ages, shapes and sizes, with various mobility needs. With the comfort and care of our patients in your hands, you’ll deliver a vital service that impacts lives daily and have the ability to make a positive impact with every journey you take.
This role is a driving role, and will take you out and around the beautiful county of Dorset and beyond, on occasion, in our high-quality, modern fleet of ambulances. It is, therefore, a requirement of the role that you have a full UK driving license.
What’s In It For You?

* Market-leading Pay – Regular overtime available at higher rates
* Fully Paid Training – Start with two weeks of training and enjoy ongoing mentorship
* Development Opportunities – Progress into management or emergency care roles
* Sick Pay & Support – Including contractual sick pay and our Employee Assistance Programme
* Fun & Engagement – Regular staff competitions and exciting prizes
* Refer a Friend Bonus – Earn £500 for each friend you bring on board!
About You
We’re looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals who can make every patient feel comfortable and supported. You’ll need a friendly smile, a warm heart, and a passion for giving back to the community. This role will also require a good level of physical fitness, as you’ll help transfer and lift patients as required.
Our Commitment to Safer Recruitment
At HTG-UK, we take the safety and well-being of our patients seriously. As part of our safer recruitment process, all successful candidates will undergo thorough onboarding checks, including:
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

- Driving licence check to ensure full eligibility
- A medical check which can include Occupational Health referrals on occasion
