Oibríonn an Phríomh-Oifig Claochlaithe agus Teicneolaíochta (POCT) chun an clár claochlaithe a shamhlú, a threorú, a oiriúnú, a dhigitiú agus a chur ar fáil agus chun tacú leis, a chuirfidh ar chumas chóras cumhachta agus mhargadh na hÉireann na spriocanna do 2030 agus ina dhiaidh sin a bhaint amach.

The Team

EirGrid has developed an ambitious Business Strategy to respond to the unprecedented level of change and opportunity in the electricity industry. Our Purpose is to Transform the Power System for Future Generations, and our primary goal is to collaborate with the Island’s Electricity Sector on Sustainability and Decarbonisation.

The role of the Chief Transformation and Technology Office (CTTO) is to vision, lead, transform, digitise, and deliver a transformational capability that enables Ireland’s power system and market to meet the targets for 2030 and beyond.

The Opportunity

We now have a new and exciting opportunity for a Programme Management Office (PMO) Portfolio Governance Analyst who will report to the PMO Portfolio Governance Team Lead, to join EirGrid.

As the PMO Portfolio Governance Analyst, you will support the PMO Portfolio Governance Team Lead who is responsible for driving long term transformation planning for EirGrid’s strategic programmes through best-in-class programme management, governance, and business alignment.

You will be an integral part of the PMO Portfolio Governance team – a multidisciplinary team responsible for:
  • Prioritising and managing an annual strategic programme portfolio
  • Ensuring consistent delivery methodologies, standards, and governance
  • Managing portfolio level risks, dependencies, and performance
  • Supporting in the development of executive-level reporting on programme status, outcomes, and benefits

Aligned with EirGrid’s strategic goals, we will look to you to drive delivery excellence, ensure business value, and enable effective decision-making through robust governance and insight.

The role reports to the Portfolio Governance Lead, who has responsibility for designing and implementing project management processes, collating project reporting and supporting the Head of Programme Management Office, with driving long term transformation planning for CTTOs strategic programmes through best-in-class programme management, governance, and business alignment.

About You
Essential
  • Qualification to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years of experience within a similar role
  • Experience of using Prince2 Project Management methodology
  • Strong experience of delivering projects across a wide range of technologies and complex landscapes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly organised planning and time management skills with excellent attention to detail

Desirable
  • Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practices
  • A recognised project management qualification would be extremely beneficial e.g. PRINCE2, PMP etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and/or an understanding of Agile concepts would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of energy sector would be an advantage but not a requirement
  • Experience of developing process maps, flow charts, user requirements documentation, would be desirable
  • Knowledge of energy sector would be an advantage but not a requirement
