The Biotech Development Center (BDC) is our Company's flagship biotech investment in line with the ambition to stay the Vibrant Science and Technology Company. The BDC is integrating analytical technologies of the future with high-tech automatized and digital laboratories, in a flexible, agile and highly collaborative environment.
Your role:
In the “Analytical Dev. and Innovation” organization of Global Analytical Development, this role represents an opportunity to significantly contribute to the high-tech analytical laboratories in the BDC, and will give leading responsibility in the development and automatization of analytical methods, to ensure the delivery of our specialty innovator Biotech pipeline to patients.
Your key responsibilities in this role are:
- Lead and manage mass spectrometry projects focused on biologics, ensuring the successful execution of experimental designs and data analysis.
- Develop and optimize mass spectrometry methods for the characterization of proteins, peptides, and other biologics.
- Support the development and automatization of analytical methods and ensure high throughput analytics to support process development of NBEs and ADCs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biochemistry, formulation, quality control, analytical and DS/DP project leads , to support biologics development programs.
- Provide technical expertise in mass spectrometry to guide project strategies and decisions
- Mentor and train junior scientists and staff in mass spectrometry techniques and best practices
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mass spectrometry and biologics development to drive innovation within the team, including support to novel process analytical technologies approaches.
- Interact with auditors in the context of internal audits and external inspections by HAs
Who you are:
- Graduate degree or Ph.D in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or Biotechnology with a focus on mass spectrometry
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mass spectrometry, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry . Proven experience in lc-ms peptide mapping and manual interpretation of of N-glycopeptides fragemntataion spectra is a must.
Experience in native intact mass analysis, and data analysis software.
- Hands-on experience on GeneData software is a plus
- Good understanding of USP and DSP process in the frame of biopharmaceuticals process development
- Good understanding of biochemistry methods (e.g., Immunoassay, Optical density, digital PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis).
- Knowledge on international guidelines (e.g. ICH) for biopharmaceuticals; knowledge of Data generation, Data processing, Data Quality principles, Quality by Design (e.g., DoE)
- Proven track record of leading scientific projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with automation technologies, digital tools and lean principles
- Curiosity and open minded to new tools & technology, with change management mindset to influence team future ways of working.
- Communication skills to inspire and motivate team / relationship management, with ability to interact in stakeholder networks, with proven collaborative attitude
- English fluent, French is a plus
