Our ideal candidate would be experienced working in small animal practice and be highly motivated, hard-working, and a team player. This is a role combining some reception work alongside supporting our team of vets & nurses looking after the patients in the wards & also before & after surgery.

Duties:

  • Assist the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their day to day duties.
  • Assist the nurse & care for patients and inpatients in our care to the standard upheld by Village Vets.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the clinic including equipment, animal quarters to a level acceptable to the Village Vets standards.
  • Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
  • Assist with front of house duties & understand procedures involved in maintaining an efficient friendly reception.
  • Promote the Pet Health Plans and Pet Insurance to all clients to facilitate the highest level of veterinary care.
  • Carry out any ad hoc Veterinary or administrative duties that may arise through the normal course of the day within the clinic or as advised by head nurse/area manager.
  • Complete all tasks, duties and procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
  • Greet all visitors and welcome them to the clinic.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and schedule appointments.
  • Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 2 or more years of front of house experience.

Pay: Up to €28,080.00 per year
