Animal Feed Mill Operator

We’re now looking for an Animal Feed Mill Operator to join our Mill Team in Baltinglass and play a key role in the next chapter of our story.

At Quinns, we’re more than a business — we’re a family-run company rooted in our local community, supporting farmers across generations. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To support the production requirements of the mill by working as part of a highly committed & efficient team
• General Operative duties - including Loading and taking in deliveries
• Serving customers
• Operate plant, monitor plant performance, in-process product testing and optimise efficiencies (small bag, 1/2 Tonne bags)
• Pellet & coarse ration production
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding area
• Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
• Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards
• Any other duties as reasonably required
• Setting and operating Milling Machines

The Candidate:

• Shift Work Required
• Good verbal reasoning, numerate ability and mechanical aptitude skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic knowledge and understanding of computers
• Fork Lift or loader experience required
