Dicker Data NZ is launching a new role to accelerate the growth of our APC and Honeywell business. This nationwide position requires travel to engage with customers across the country, with a key emphasis on face-to-face sales and outbound calls to arrange meetings and showcase our product offerings. We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality to drive increased market share for both vendors.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships for Honeywell and APC.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing reseller partners.
- Manage key accounts with large end users to ensure APC and Honeywell remain the preferred choice.
- Engage with customers using competitive products and support their transition to APC and Honeywell.
- Foster strong business relationships with key managers and stakeholders within APC and Honeywell.
- Leverage strategic thinking, energy, and insight to identify business opportunities, select the right channels, and negotiate effectively with senior decision-makers in major accounts.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager of each brand on marketing initiatives, training, workshops, events, and other promotional activities.
This position will suit someone with at least 5 years of experience within the IT industry, focused on Infrastructure, with ideally at least 3 years of Product Management experience.
Skills and experience
- Ability to thrive under pressure and achieve sales targets
- Proven track record of success in IT sales with strong proactive prospecting abilities.
- Experience in power, racks, infrastructure, IoT, and AIDC is a plus.
- Established nationwide reseller network and relationships
- Expertise in a multi-channel selling environment.
- Contemporary knowledge of technology, trends, cloud, and hardware
- Strong personal credibility and professional reputation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Consistent record of achievement of personal business targets.
- Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously with strong multitasking skills
- Proficient in IT tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
