Apid Lab Support Technician

Are you passionate about laboratory work and eager to make an impact? We are seeking a APID Laboratory Support Technician to join our team at Pharmaceutical Development-API Development (APID) Dublin. This role is available on a fixed term basis until December 2025.

Your role will be to provide laboratory support within PD-API Development (APID) team as follows:

• Maintain facilities and equipment

• Support process development and manufacturing activities

• Ensure data and documentation meet GMP/EHS standards

Main Duties to be Performed:

• Preparation of reagents, buffers and other materials for use across APID facilities.

• Preparation of equipment across APID facilities.

• Maintaining glass and plastic labware stocks by picking up, washing and distributing.

• Maintaining stock and ordering of laboratory consumables.

• Routine calibration and verification of laboratory instruments. Assist in sourcing equipment and in its installation / commissioning as necessary. Coordination of external PM visit, if required.

• Maintaining laboratory and storeroom stocks of raw materials, consumables, and garments.

Technical Competencies:

• Be able to work well within a team and possess good interpersonal and communication skills

• Experienced in laboratory work including handling chemicals.

• Experienced in routine laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Essential: At least 6 months relevant experience working within a laboratory environment.

• Preferred: 1-2 years in a cGMP facility

• Knowledge in HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID/MS, and FTIR techniques

Education:

• Essential: FETAC 7 or equivalent qualification

• Preferred: BSc in Chemistry (analytical focus) or equivalent
