Apprentice Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and eager Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters, assisting in various construction projects and learning essential skills necessary for a successful career in carpentry.

Duties

• Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
• Learn to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Participate in tile laying, drywall installation, and construction painting tasks.
• Help with cabinet installation and fabrication of wooden structures.
• Support roofing projects by learning about materials and techniques used in roof construction.
• Gain knowledge in basic electrical work as it pertains to carpentry projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction practices is a plus; prior experience with maintenance person tasks is beneficial.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
• Strong willingness to learn new skills related to carpentry and construction.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
