We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Fabricator to join our team and begin their journey in the engineering industry.

Job Summary

As an Apprentice Fabricator, you will learn the key skills and techniques required in the fabrication and welding of metal components. This hands-on apprenticeship provides full training under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, while also offering the opportunity to attend off-site training as part of your national apprenticeship programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components to exact specifications
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Operate machinery such as cutting tools, presses, and welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.)
• Participate in metal cutting, grinding, drilling, and welding tasks
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
• Work both independently and as part of a team under the supervision of senior fabricators
• Attend and successfully complete off-the-job training modules as required by the SOLAS-approved apprenticeship programme

Requirements

• A genuine interest in fabrication, welding, and engineering
• Willingness to learn and undertake a 4-year structured apprenticeship
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
• Must be eligible to register as an apprentice with SOLAS
