Aprn, Vein Institute Of Pinellas, Part-Time

Join our team at Vein Institute of Pinellas (VIP) dedicated to providing comprehensive Vein and Vascular Care. This APRN position is a part-time position but may grow into a full-time opportunity with benefits. This position is for our St Pete location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical evaluation of new and established patients for venous insufficiency including leg pain, varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, edema, and/or other health conditions
  • Perform minimally invasive vein procedures including Radiofrequency Ablation, Varithena, Ambulatory Phlebectomy and Sclerotherapy
  • Review and prescribe patient medications and compression stockings when necessary
  • Collaborate with Vascular Surgeon, APRN, RVT, MA, Insurance Specialist, Front Desk Coordinator, and administrative staff to create a highly efficiency, organized and patient-oriented medical team
  • Work independently, with strong communication and collaboration under the direction of our Program Physician and Program Lead APRN
  • Refer patients who have been determined to need care outside our scope of practice
  • Patient education about venous insufficiency and its complications
  • Aid lymphedema patients obtain lymphatic pump and necessary supplies
  • Perform initiation of basic wound care
  • Collaborate with referring physicians
  • Record clear and accurate medical documentation in the patient’s medical chart
  • Aid as needed by direction program lead APRN with office coverage as needed
  • Follow all applicable medical care regulations and safety protocols

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in related fields (vein clinic, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, dermatology, plastic surgery helpful)
  • EMR experience required, prefer eClinicalWorks experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Conduct courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
