The Role
We are seeking an APS 5 ICT Contract and Procurement Officer who will be accountable under broad direction to undertake complex and sensitive contract management and procurement activities.
The successful candidate will be required to exercise sound decision-making skills and apply good judgement and work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Activities include (but are not limited to):
- Drafting commercial documentation such as notices, change proposals, reports, survey and quotes, standard operating procedures and plans at meetings
- Maintaining contract records including monitoring, tracking and reporting on contract deliverables, performance and data items
- Assisting with procurement planning, tendering and contract formation activities ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and Defence processes and procedures
- Building and sustaining productive relationships with clients and stakeholders, including service providers and subject matter experts to provide contract management advice and respond to contract enquiries
About our Team
The Military Commercial Directorate (MCD) delivers high quality procurement, contracting and commercial services and support to the largest ICT Program in Australia. The directorate provides specialist procurement and commercial expertise to develop, deliver and manage procurement and contracting and advises on policy interpretation and its application. The directorate also manages relationships with key commercial, policy, legal, probity and delivery stakeholders.
